Two red foxes out of my collection (I have about a dozen pelts, not all mountable, pics coming soon)
The one on the left is a huge dog fox, caught locally by a crofter and shot for going after hens. The bullet went in through his chest and exited the throat under his chin which was a challenge in skinning, but aside from the bullet hole left in the chest, he's all intact. Freshly tanned and still damp, he'll be soft mounted by me as a practice piece. I haven't turned the ears, so if any kind taxidermists would share any tips on doing so it would be greatly appreciated.
The one on the right is also a dog fox caught hen harrassing, not as big as the other but just as handsome. Some slippage on his ears which will be a challenge but again, a practice piece so he won't go to waste. He has very pretty whiskers. Both are lovely coloured and with thick bushy tails.

Hi MattsyKun, thanks for directing me for advice. :)
Here, we have a big red fox problem and since most folks here are crofters who keep sheep and hens, they're usually kept under control by locals. The most recent dog fox in particular decimated an entire flock of hens, eating only one, leaving the birds just lying, bit of a shock for the guy who owned them. I got him a few hours after he was shot, and he was well fed, fat and with a thick winter coat, in very good condition. Chicken fed no doubt!

He definitely ate well :D

Shame you live in the UK; I'd love to get foxes from you. XD But y'know, importing and all that. I don't have the money, and I don't want to go to jail lol
